Find out what we’ll be auctioning at the London Bike Show

We can now bring you more details of the items that Going Going Bike will be auctioning off at the Cycle a Difference charity auction that takes place on Saturday (January 14) and Sunday (January 15) at the London Bike Show.
Items worth £2,870 have been kindly donated by a number of bike companies including some Going Going Bike webstore partners.
Bike frames
Top billing in the auction will be given to Bamboo Bikes who have kindly donated a Bamboo XC Mountain Bike frame. The retail price of the frame is normally a four figure number. A Foffa track frame is also up for auction, while children’s bike maker Kiddimoto will have a full priced bike and helmet combo in their offering for the auction.
Helmets
Talking of helmets, bike retailer Velobrands has donated some Kask Helmets. Kask are the helmet supplier to Team Sky and the various helmets donated (4) include signatures on the helmets from Team Sky riders Mark Cavendish, Bradley Wiggins and Luke Rowe.
GGB webstore partner Hardnutz has also kindly made available two of their helmet models – The Hi-Viz and the Chrome Street helmet.
We’ll also be auctioning of a Coaster wheelset from another GGB webstore partner Espresso Wheels and there will also be some x10 Saracen Elite water bottles available thanks to Bike Seven.
Clothing
Clothing wise, cycle clothing firm Wildoo will be offering a customised Wildoo cycling kit, while if it is something more commuter orientated you are looking for then the Water Off a Duck’s Back Men’s Coat could be just the thing. Add into the clothing mix a Shutt VR Goodie bag worth £50.
Accessories
We’re very excited to have one item that is very much seen as hot property in commuting cycling circles – The Michaux Club Bag from The Michaux Club. Since being featured on a The Guardian’s Christmas cycling present guide in December, Rachel, the owner of the company, has been inundated with orders. She’s been kind enough to let us have one from her prized stock to put up for auction. The bag normally retails at over £250.
Lastly, and not forgotten, we’ll be auctioning a product that is very popular on the GGB marketplace – The Bicycle Wine Rack from Oopsmark.
Bid and make a difference
Don’t forget the auctions of these items (and we hope a few more) will take place on Saturday and Sunday on the Cycling Stage at 2pm. Come along, participate and make a bid. Your purchase could just make the difference to those newborn babies in Vietnam.
