Cycle Shorts film competition
Bikeminded wants you to get creative and produce a film that shows others the delights of cycling. The film can be funny, serious, arty, in fact anything you like. It can be live action, or animation, location, or studio based, it is up to you, but it must have references of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in some shape or form. And it must be no more than 90 seconds.
Once you’ve shot the film, upload the entry to Vimeo or YouTube, send Bikeminded the link with the competition application form (see here).
All uploaded films will be judged by award-winning film director and bicycle enthusiast Richard Loncraine with all shortlisted films being shown at an exclusive screening at the Electric Cinema on Portobello Road in Notting Hill.
A special prize will be awarded to the People’s Choice film. This is the film that receives the most votes online. The winner of this film receives £500.
The winner of the Judge’s choice film will receive £1000. That film will be screened at the Olympics Festival site on Exhibition Road in Kensington.
The competition deadline is Friday 15th June 2012 at 5pm. More details on the competition can be found here.
