Paying homage to the Tour of Flanders, that was taking place as we rode, a dozen Casual Riders set off in the sun on a testing parcours that began in East London.
With jerseys full of delicious QimmiQ energy gels (which you can buy here on Going Going Bike) the group set off on a ride that would include canal pathways, cobbles, bridelways and a 150m section of 15% gradient off road (and occasional tarmac).
After 52km of fantastic and good humoured casual riding we arrived at Look Mum No Hands, ready to watch the final 50kms of the Ronde. Is there be a better way to spend a Sunday?
If you want to download the course, you can find it here.
Really good day with an excellent bonus at the end.
Thanks everyone
