Breakfast event promises to get cyclists hungry for safety

LorryCabCycle

An event worth noting this week in bike week for London’s commuter cyclists is a cycle safety event being organised by the City of London Police.

The police force is running an “Exchanging Places” event to raise awareness of safe cycling and security at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday June 22 from 7.30 am.

The event will give cyclists the opportunity to see the road from a lorry driver’s perspective as well as drop in on informative presentations. Riders will also have the chance to get their cycle checked and security marked for free, and network with other cycling enthusiasts.

Complimentary breakfast

What may draw cyclists to the event is a free complimentary breakfast which is being provided by US natural foods supermarket Whole Foods and Starbucks. Building materials supplier CEMEX is providing the large heavy goods vehicles for the “Exchanging Places” exercise.
