Bikes, tricks and cycle fashion

Lights, cameras and action were evident at the Barbican on Thursday evening. But this was not a screening at the Bicycle Film Festival, but a show of bikes and clothes that most cyclists do not (at the moment) choose to wear.
Bulbs flashed amongst the photographers gathered at one end of the stage and an audience gathered. As much interested, one felt, to see friends modelling or admire some nifty bike handling skills, as they were to look at the clothes.
Much of what passed in front was on show at last month’s City Cycle Show but it was still a fun event. Partly due to the improbable nature of some of the outfits and mostly due to the stunts being showcased. That having been said it was good to see the latest from Cyclodelic and TwonFro on the catwalk and some Rapha kit (no soap in site!)

Actually 7 of the clothing designers from City Cyle Style were present, the majority were not.
