A new accessory for your bike – the tablet holder

There are a plethora of holders and mounts available out there for you to stick your mobile phone on your bike while you ride but you’d think having something like a tablet such as an iPad2 on a bike was somewhat impossible.
Well apparently not. Samsung is marketing a holder for its Galaxy Tablet 10.1. Described by Samsung as the “ultimate” Galaxy Tablet accessory, the tablet holder sits on the top tube of a bike as the picture above shows.
Accessible while riding
With the bizzare holder, the Galaxy is accessible from the side and Samsung say the tablet can be easily used whilst you are cycling.
“Applications such as dashboards tracking mileage, route planners and repair instructions for punctures, can be downloaded from the Android Marketplace to enhance everyday cycling routes or more adventurous trips – a handy addition for any cyclist,” Samsung’s marketing gumpf reads.
Custom made
The tab holder is made with the same carbon specification used on F1 cars to give protection to the Galaxy device should you fall or crash. Samsung is marketing the holder as part of a custom made single speed bike that is made by British Fixed Gear specialists 14 Bike Co.
We’re not sure Samsung have quite thought this through, but hey ho, the aesthetics of the tablet and the bike do look lovely.
