Bike accessories – some good, some badShareThis
Everyone has a favourite bike accessory or part. There are some bits of kit that just seem to make life so much easier / safer / more convenient etc!
It might be a high vis jacket that makes you feel safer. A new set of spoke cards that makes you feel cooler. A new saddle (well maybe a worn in one) that makes you more comfortable.
There are some things you buy though that do none of the above. I’ve had two that spring to mind.
The first lock I bought (because it was the cheapest) would only close properly half the time, the other half you could pull it open without any effort. Not great as a security device, but quite good for impressing people with your “strength”.
At around the same time I bought a light set from the company that must not be named. The front light I still have which works fine except when it rains and then it goes on strike. The back half of the set lasted until the first speed bump when due to it’s clever design it flew off and smashed (no locking mechanism).
Any of you had accessories you love or hate?
