Welcome Racer Rosa!

Racer Rosa

We’re very excited to welcome Racer Rosa to Going Going Bike! They sell custom-built bikes with Lombardi frames, made-to-measure to fit the riders body size and cycling style. These lightweight steel frames are hand-crafted in Italy by a small family business which has been building frames for over 60 years.

A decisive summit finish?

Today the Tour de France will be won or lost on the slopes of the Tourmalet. A 2115 meter monster that has loomed large in tour history and features heavily in this year’s centenary edition of the race.

Cycle Daisy Chain

Bounty of Boris

Cycle Hire Photo

Chatter aplenty today about the Bounty of Boris: the Superhighway and the cycle hire scheme. Boris’s great contributions to the city in his first term as The Mayor Of London (why all those caps?) Both schemes have their detractors and they are certainly not without their shortcomings. However, we must recognise that these are special times for cyclists in the capital. READ ON

World Record Attempt – Longest Bicycle Daisy Chain!

On July 20 at 7pm we’re going to try and set a World Record (unofficial) at Look Mum No Hands. You may be thinking what exactly is a bicycle daisy chain? And that’s a good question! It’s when you lock bicycles wheel to wheel to form as long a line as you can. Hopefully with your help we can stretch round the block… READ ON

What does it take to be a top Cycling Commuter?

There is a top article by Jamie Wilkins on the Guardian website today on what an individual needs to possess in order to be a top level road racer. Fitness, power and the support of a fully committed team are all cited before he concludes that passion for the bike is the critical element for road cyclists at the highest level. READ ON
