EMERALD GREEN TOWNIE 8 FROM THE U.S.!

This beautiful emerald green Electra Townie 8 bike was
purchased in Chicago in 2007. I had it shipped over in 2009 when I moved to the
UK. Electra is an American bike brand which is difficult to find in the UK.
This model is no longer made anywhere in the world so this bike is a rare gem!



The bike has a relaxed cruiser style and ‘flat foot’ mode of pedalling. It’s
very comfortable!



Key features include:

* 8 speed Shimano shifter

* Internal hub gears

* Aluminum frame (American spelling!)

* Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires

* Sturdy back rack

* Working front light (automatically comes on when you pedal) and back light
(push button, there are fresh batteries in here)

* Basket that lifts off (I added this, you can take it or leave it)

I've just had a full tune up and clean of the bike which cost £77. I had replaced

* Rear brake cable

*Front brake noodle

* 4 brake pads

I haven’t ridden this bike in
years so even though I’ll be sad to see my companion from Chicago go, I want
someone to get good use out of this sturdy, stylish bike.
