• Question: I am looking to buy a bike for my 16 year old son. He is not an experienced rider, is this a good bike for him? The frame size is ideal but not sure how easy it would be for him to adapt from a hybrid to a road bike.

  Answer: I was a total novice to it when I bought it a few years ago. I had ridden a hybrid on the London to Brighton and knew then I wanted a road bike. It's easy to ride and as it has brakes on the top mount as well as the bars it gave me the extra security whilst I got used to it. It's an ideal bike to start on.

• Question: Unfortunately I failed to get involved in this weeks deadline for the auction as I got struck down by man flu. I would like to buy the bike but am worried that will fail to meet the resreve - is there any way we can agree a price and finish the auction? (apologies if this breaks any rules)
