A new kind of advocate

ShareThis

BicycleAdvocate

A new UK cycle advocacy group has started work over the last few days which may be of interest to Going Going Bike readers.

The Cycling Embassy of Great Britain, which is run by campaigner Jim Davies, has been set up with similar aims to the Danish equivalent that has been running for some time.

The Embassy aims to get businesses, non-governmental organisations, government- both local and national, and cycle groups, to work together to promote cycling and cycling solutions to problems as well as make current cycling infrastructure work better.

Jim has set out a mission statement for The Cycling Embassy of Great Britain and that can be found here.

It is still early days for the organisation, but we’d like to wish The Cycling Embassy of Great Britain good luck and also put our firm support behind the initiative.
